Essential storage supports sign-in, security and your storage choice. Optional reading memory stays off until you enable it. We have no advertising or audience-analytics tools installed.
Cookies and local storage
A cookie is a small value your browser sends back with website requests. Local storage saves information in this browser until it is removed. Our settings cover both, even when we call the control “Cookie settings.”

Cloudflare may also set necessary security cookies if a protection or challenge is triggered. Their presence depends on the security feature used; visiting the site does not necessarily set a challenge cookie.
Essential-only still lets you read
You can explore free lessons, sign in and use permitted account features without optional reading memory. The site will not persist new reading progress, award timed page-reading credit or automatically sync achievements while this option is off. Temporary controls such as pausing animation can still work for the current visit.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Selecting essential-only removes optional reading and motion records from this browser and stops future automatic progress saves and sync. Existing account progress, community contributions and profile information are not deleted by that choice.
Your preference applies to this browser, not every device. A different browser, cleared storage or an expired choice will show the choice again. If browser storage is blocked, we cannot reliably remember your choice or reading data on this device across visits. If you opt in while signed in, account progress can still sync during the current visit.
